A bicameral legislature is one in which the legislators are divided into two separate assemblies, chambers or houses.

4b) 

Unicameral legislature or unicameralism refers to a situation in a country where there is only one legislative house or body that makes laws.Once a bill has been passed by the assembly, it goes to the President for his assent since no second house exists *WHILE* Bicameral legislature or Bicameralism refers to a legislature with two legislative houses or bodies. Before a bill is presented to the president for his assent, it must pass through the two houses

3a) A political party may be defined as organized group of people who share similar political opinions, principles, interest and beliefs with the aim of gaining political power and governing the country. 


3bi) Political parties play the role of stimulating and arousing the interests of the electorate and participating in elections by performing their civic responsibility of voting.

ii) Political parties help to select and appoint leaders and personnel for government of a country through election processes.

iii) The electorate of a country are educated by political parties through their political rallies which make them (electorate) to know their political right.

iv ) The existence of political parties in a country helps to streamline divergent public opinions.

v ) Party manifestoes helps government of a country in formulating its policies.

SECTION B Answer 3 Questions

The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) may: 

i)
Consider and make recommendations on the general principles of cooperation for maintaining international peace and security, including disarmament.

(ii) 
Discuss any question relating to international peace and security and, except where a dispute or situation is currently being discussed by the Security Council, make recommendations on it.

(iii)
Discuss, with the same exception, and make recommendations on any questions within the scope of the Charter or affecting the powers and functions of any organ of the United Nations.

(iv) 
Initiate studies and make recommendations to promote international political cooperation, the development and codification of international law, the realization of human rights and fundamental freedoms, and international collaboration in the economic, social, humanitarian, cultural, educational and health fields.

(v) 
Make recommendations for the peaceful settlement of any situation that might impair friendly relations among nations.

(vi) 
Receive and consider reports from the Security Council and other United Nations organs.

(vii) 
Consider and approve the United Nations budget and establish the financial assessments of Member States.

(viii) 
Elect the non-permanent members of the Security Council and the members of other United Nations councils and organs and, on the recommendation of the Security Council, appoint the Secretary-General.

9)Features of 1999 Constitution Are;

i. The provision for Fundamental Human Right was retained.

ii. The Constitution provided for direct election of the President and Government through a general election.

iii. The Constitution retained the 1979 provisions for separation of powers among the three arms of government - the executive, legislative and judiciary.

iv. Governors retained executive powers at state levels while House of Assembly remained the only legislative arm of government at state level.

v. There is a Federal Capital Territory - Abuja.

vi. The Constitution provides for 774 Local Government Areas
